After my short-lived relationship with the Australian Body Care Facial Cleanser, I can say I've officially entered the 'I'm sick of spending money on face products that make me look worse' phase. There, I said it. I obviously can't skip the cleansing step in my beauty routine, but the high likelihood of getting a lovely breakout from a new product just drives me up the wall!
I went to the supermarket yesterday to stock up on new hair products and I walked past the Dove section and I saw their beauty bars. The Dove beauty bars are very highly 'respected' in the beauty world because they deep cleanse and moisturise at the same time. Seeing that the price tag was less than a euro and remembering the fact that I had used these bars before and liked them, I decided to place one in my shopping cart.
As opposed to the classic beauty bar, the one I picked up has an added exfoliating ingredient in the form of tiny blue beads that are barely visible to the eye. The formula is gentle enough to be used on the face daily, and the 25% moisture ingredient makes sure your skin feels supple and nourished all day.
As I said earlier, I wasn't keen on spending too much on my next cleansing product because I'm too angry at my previous purchases to fork out even more money! I wouldn't have been too frustrated if this failed the test too since it's as inexpensive as two bars of chocolate! However, after one wash last night, my skin looks noticeably better and this morning my make-up seemed to look more put together as well!
I'll definitely let you know how my love-affair with this bar of magic proceeds at a later stage, but my first impression was definitely a brilliant one!
