Pupa Milano Deco Collection: Silver Glitter Deco and Emerald Glitter Deco

Dear Readers,

A few days ago I received two products from the new PUPA Milano Deco collection. Inspired by the roaring twenties and described as an 'explosion of brightness', the collection includes a gorgeous selection of elegant hues and metallic gleaming colours for a truly luminant result. The collection comprises four new eyeshadow colours, two lipsticks, an all-over gel and four new shades of nailpolishes.

The first product you're going to meet today is one of the marvellously pigmented shades from the eyeshadow department. The compact eyeshadow I received in 'Silver Glitter Deco' (02)* is a blend of pearls and pigments - like its counterparts obviously! - for an overall shimmering result. One truly pure and long-lasting colour, this eyeshadow is one of four very festive metallic, elegant shades that comes in a pretty 3D diamond shape. The four hues, gold, silver, copper and emerald, can either be used wet or else dry.

This is probably the 700th time I mention that I am not a fan of coloured eye shadows - excluding browns, taupes and neutral that is - but every once in a while I do make an exception for metallics. Whereas people who love smokey dos can use this shade for the portion of their eye, ladies who are more into the 'less is more' ideal like myself can still make good use of it to make their eyes look bigger. Metallic shades, used in the right places, can add so much dimension to your eye and create an fuller, rounder effect on your peepers! Oh, and can you imagine how fantastically big your eyes can turn out to be with an eyeshadow that vouches to add impeccable luminance? Apart from being impressed with the shade, I also like the texture and the 3D packaging. With all its positive attributes, this is by far a product I would consider adding to my personal make-up collection. I give it 8/10 on the Boffism-o-meter.

I was also given the opportunity to try the Diamond Eyeliner glitter eyeliner in 'Emerald Glitter Deco' (04)*. The product has a gel formula that mixes glitter and microcrystalline pearls to add brightness and glow to your eye make up look. This gel eyeliner can either be used on its own - underneath the lower lash line maybe? - or else as a topcoat over your favourite festive eyeshadow. I particularly recommend it over one fo the Deco metallic shades for New Year's Eve. I'm sure there are plenty of you out there who are willing to dazzle in such a bespangled combination.

I admit that I restrict my use of glitter to the very bare minimum, but if I were a member of the Glitterati, this would be an eyeliner I'd want to own. Mainly because, unlike other glitter gel formula products I've tried before, the glitter in this one is not sparse. I appreciate that I don't have to layer coats over coats of product to get my glitter going on. Having said that, even if you were to apply multiple layers of the product, you eye wouldn't feel sticky due to the high quality formula. Overall I feel it's a great product to add if you're into glitter and all that jazz. Here's a nice 7+ to you dear glitter liner.
